Objective: To determine the predisposing factors contributing to unintentional home injuries in children under 5 years of age presenting Emergency department Ziauddin medical university and hospital, Karachi Place duration study: The study is conducted at Department Emergency, Medical University Hospital, And 13th October 2019 12th April 2020. It a cross-sectional design having 200 patients, which non-probability consecutive sampling technique used. Material Method: There were patients total with Injuries that happened environment. Mothers participated an interview. After each child received recommended care, data gathered.Calculated descriptive statistics Stratification was used manage effect modifiers. chi-square test after stratification. P-values lower than 0.05 regarded as significant. Results: 46% male 54% female patients. Mean 35.02±13.79 months. Most injured >3 times last one month. 57% found injury due falling down while most (32.5%) occurred stairs. In our study, 39% caused lack 11.5% availability hazardous material 49.5% unsafe Practical implications: From standpoint prevention, this suggests risk non-fatal five complicated multidimensional, effective prevention measures must target numerous components. effectively increase children's comprehension safety issue their hazard, health care providers, parents, or both should alternative strategic teaching methods.
